Build better hockey skills
Proper technique plus repetition builds better skating, puck handling, shooting and passing. Those skills become habits, making it easier to execute under pressure.

Better skills. Faster decisions. Smarter hockey.
Hockey is more than skating drills and puck skills. Players have to learn to see the game, make decisions, compete, solve problems and play with confidence.
That's what we train.See Training OpportunitiesThe approach
Getting better helps kids experience more success on the ice and enjoy hockey more, which drives the desire for more success.
Proper technique plus repetition builds better skating, puck handling, shooting and passing. Those skills become habits, making it easier to execute under pressure.
Skate faster, read pressure, react quicker and move the puck sooner. As players move up levels, the game gets faster and space gets tighter. Develop the ability to play fast.
Read situations, know what to look for and recognize your options. Make quick decisions—with or without the puck—and solve problems. Become a player coaches can trust.
The coaching difference
We watch how players do things, make corrections and give them a chance to put those changes into play.
Build proper technique with instruction, corrections and repetition.
Put the skill into a game-like situation and practice making the play.
Bring those skills into competition. Players learn how to perform a skill under pressure.
To experiment. Compete. Make mistakes. Read situations. Solve problems.
Try something that doesn't work—and figure out what does.
Help kids experience success, enjoy the game and want to keep getting better.

Room to figure it out
Youth hockey has become incredibly organized. Practices, skills sessions, teams, tournaments and lessons fill the calendar.
But some of the learning that creates good hockey players happens when kids have enough space to compete, experiment, improvise and figure things out for themselves.
Good development needs both.
Teach them. Challenge them.
Then let them play.
The coach behind the skates
I'm Stu Patterson—known to players, parents and much of the hockey community as Coach Stu.
I've spent about eight years coaching and teaching hockey, working with everyone from young kids to adults at every stage of development.
My job is to help people fall in love with hockey—so they want to improve their skills, apply what they learn and experience more success on the ice.
Along the way, the game teaches us to face challenges, handle adversity and keep going. Through wins and losses, hockey helps build resilience and character.
